If you ask an average man or woman on the street if he/she frowns, you are likely going to have a direct answer. But, if your question is “do you frown while sleeping?” you are most likely going to have a strange, surprising, shocking answers.  You are probably going to have answers like “I don’t know ….. sleeping then.” Or “is it possible?”
Many people do not know they frown while they sleep. But, for those who do and want to stop it, I have listed tips below to help you achieve it. These tips works perfectly well for me while I was still struggling to stop my frowning habit and I believe it will work well for you too.
  • Before fallen asleep while on the bed, lie facing the ceilings and close your eyes. Try to relax the face by putting it in a non-frowning position. You can smile a little if you find it difficult relaxing your forehead.
  • When the face is relax with your eyes still closed, think of nothing. Yes, nothing! Initially, it may be difficult to achieve but with time you get used to it.Instead of thinking of nothing, another way is to think of things, activities, places, people, etc that makes you happy which helps to make your face relaxed. Avoid all forms of thoughts that cause you to be sad or frown as they can compound your problems. You can see my post on how to meditate to stop frowning for additional information.
  • Massage the forehead regularly. Forehead massage is very helpful in relaxing the muscles around the forehead. You may decide to massage before going to bed or at your free time. You can also see my post on how to massage to stop frowning.
  • Be happy at all times and minimize the number of hours you spent frowning. In other words, don’t frown for too long.
