What Causes Premature Face Wrinkles?

In one of my previous posts, I wrote on the causes of premature wrinkles. This article is somewhat similar to that article only that its focus is facial wrinkles.
Facial wrinkles are those wrinkles that develops around the face. They are part of the natural process of aging. We cannot run from them as they will certainly occur as we grow older. And the more older we get, the more visible they become.
Sometimes, facial wrinkles can develop on the face faster than normal. When this occur, its usually referred to as premature facial wrinkles.
There are several causes of premature facial wrinkles, below are some of them.

  • Facial movement: facial movement around the face could cause premature wrinkles to occur around the face. These could be frowning, grimacing, raising your eye lashes causing fold around the forehead, and so on.
  • Exposure in the sun: Exposing your face to the sun’s rays without protection could cause premature wrinkles on the face.
  • Smoking: Smoking of cigarette generally cause wrinkles on the skin including the face. It increases the aging process of the skin, thus leading to the formation of premature wrinkles on the face.  Areas of the face where these wrinkles are obvious are the lips and mouth. This often known as or referred to as ‘‘smokers’ lines’’.
  • Sleeping n one side of your face: When you sleep on one side of your face, everyday it leads to the quick formation of wrinkles around those areas of your face that touches the pillow. The weight of your head on the pillow creates pressure which causes fold to develop.
  • Yoyo dieting: Generally, when you lose weight or lose facial weight, there is the tendency for your skin to sag. When you repeatedly gain weight and lose weight around the face, it causes or leads to premature wrinkles, , this is known as yoyo dieting. Repeated weight gain causes your skin to stretch.
The above are some of the causes of facial premature wrinkles. Now you now know what causes premature facial wrinkles. Now the next step is to learn how to prevent it if you don’t have it already. But if you do, you can also follow the steps to prevent it from getting worse.
